The Bridge (2013)
Client/Purpose: Art Competition ‘the Bridge’, Kinect
Halfway 2013 some enthusiastic HKU-students and I participated and won in an art competition called The Bridge. We developed an interactive program for the Kinect, a gaming device based on the use of motion sensors. Our concept allowed for the existence of an imaginary bridge between Amsterdam and Venice, with which participants were able to interact with each other through big plasma-screens. My main focus was on the design of the website and its functionality on mobile devices.
The Bridge was on use and display on the Museum-square in Amsterdam and the Riva Cà di Dio Boulevard in Venice during the 55th Venice Biennial.
