Aqualux prototype (2013)
Tools used: Illustrator, Photoshop, Arduino and multiple hardware components
Type: Interactive installation
Aqualux is a prototype of a physical installation that originated from a project at the HKU. The concept was to create an interactive object that would enrich a specific public location. As our environment we chose a swimming pool, as it is a public domain where playfulness and functionality seem bound to each other. Initially, we playfully tried to enhance the swimming experience of children. However, we gradually realized that the prototype had much more potential, such as being used during rehabilitation and education processes.
